In a collaborative effort to develop advanced technologies for the natural gas industry, U.S. utilities are combining interests, expertise, and resources into focused R&D projects through Utilization Technology Development Company (UTD).
UTD is a member-controlled partnership of natural gas distribution companies formed to conduct near-term applied research and to develop, test, and deploy energy efficient, environmentally friendly end use technologies.
The objectives of UTD are to direct the development of end use technologies where stakeholder needs are not adequately met by existing technology and ensure market success via deployment and commercialization of the developed technologies.
